A NEW CONTINUING CARE RETIREMENT COMMUNITY SPONSORED BY THE AWARD-WINNING NORWOOD LIFE CARE FOUNDATION

A not-for-profit organization reshaping Aging™ since 1896.
Park View at Norwood Crossing (formerly Norwood Park Home) is proudly sponsored by The Norwood Life Care Foundation. Originally founded in 1896, this not-for-profit organization has been devoted to serving seniors on the northwest side of Chicago and the adjacent suburbs for well over 100 years with a variety of programs.
Since the Foundations' inception, the goal has always been to be an integral part of the larger Chicago urban community and to reach out to area seniors, giving them the opportunity to enjoy an active, independent, lifestyle and stay connected with all generations.
Norwood Crossing’s deep and rich history is evidenced by our "Six Star" rating from the Illinois Department of Public Aid and "Best Nursing Homes in Illinois" rating by The Inside Guide to America's Nursing Homes publication. Consumer Reports magazine has rated Norwood Crossing among the top 10 percent of nursing homes in Illinois.
"We are proud of our heritage, and glad that we can continue serving this community well into the 21st century at our original location," says Marcia Mahood, CEO. "Our mission has always been to serve this part of the city, and we are committed to staying here."
What is a not-for-profit organization?
A not-for-profit (or non-profit) organization is an incorporated organization which exists for educational or charitable reasons, and from which its shareholders or trustees do not benefit financially. This means that our residents benefit from improved facilities, health care, as well as our dedication and commitment.
